If you spend a lot of money on books like me and you are trying to cut down on expenses this might be of interest.
It is a website called Booksfree that rents audiobooks and paperback books for a flat fee, just like how Netflix or Blockbuster rents DVD movies. (the interface looks like Netflix to me). It has popular books (like Marley & Me: Life and Love with the World’s Worst Dog) and several new releases that I haven’t seen in my library yet and several categories of books and audiobooks with the same free shipping deal and no late fees like Netflix.
You can browse the selection before trying it to see if it is worthwhile for you. They had some cookbooks I was looking at on Amazon
and a few new releases I was waiting to go on sale. I like this idea better than a bookclub, it’s pretty straightforward.
I didn’t specifically see textbooks in my quick look but they did have categories that sound like textbooks like Business & Economy, Philosophy, Political Science, History, Psychology. etc. They also have Oprah’s Picks, Quill Awards and Today’s Show picks.
If you can’t find it at the library this seems like a good deal to me. There is also a 25% your first month’s Booksfree rental coupon code DAX8.
