These discount clubs offer a brief membership were you can experience their services. You pay a small fee, usually a $1. As an incentive to try their service, they offer a gift. If you do not want to keep the service after the trial period, you must cancel by the specified time. Here is a list of companies I have found that do send the free gift certificate as promised are linked, the others I do not know enough about to recommend yet, but others report getting gift cards from them. The gift card offered may vary, but the current list has $50 of Walmart gift cards (also good at Sam's Club, which has great flowers, some designer items in the jewelry department, audio & stereo items) $25 Home Depot, $25 Visa card good anywhere Visa is accepted, a $10 Barnes & Noble and a $10 Circuit City, plus a few others for about $8.
Try a discount club for $1 each, get a free gift certificate as a free gift. If you are only interested in the free incentive gift card, remember to cancel the membership within the allotted time. If you wish to continue the membership, each club offers about a 20% discount on all gift certificates you purchase.

On a freebie forum, there was a post from a husband who was low on funds wanted to do something nice for his wife for their anniversary. He had little money, so he investigated all the free with gift with trial membership offers that gave a gift certificate or other present as an incentive. He got a total of $300 of gift certificates for less than $15. His wife was thrilled.
